
The Bupa Great North Run is one of the most important annual events for Candlelighters.

Described as “the world’s biggest half marathon” and attracting around 54,000 runners, this year’s Great North Run takes place on 19th September 2010. |
It is the ultimate fundraising experience, bringing people from all walks of life together to raise money for their chosen charity, soak up the community atmosphere, have fun, and achieve something really amazing.

The Great North Run is one of the most iconic half-marathons on the planet and is broadcast live on both BBC television and on BBC Radio 5 Live. If you want to raise money to help children and teenagers with cancer in Yorkshire, this event will get you noticed.
